(25 News Now) - A girls basketball Big 12 battle headlined the night in high school sports on Thursday. Class 3A No. 3 Peoria High raced past Class 4A No. 5 Normal Community 56-35 to stay unbeaten in conference play. Aaliyah Guyton led all scorers with 21 points while Denali Craig-Edwards chipped in 15 for the Lions.
In the Heart of Illinois Conference, Fieldcrest edged Tremont 55-52 while Eureka topped Flanagan 62-36. In the Prairieland, Macomb beat Peoria Heights 50-33.
In boys action, Peoria Christian got a win over Normal Calvary Christian 60-29.
