EAST PEORIA (25 News Now) - District 50 Superintendant Chad Allaman says the students and driver aboard a bus in Sunnyland involved in a crash were not injured.
A school bus carrying 14 students who attend Beverly Manor School in Washington was involved in a crash at the intersection of Washington Road and Bess Street.
The students and driver were checked out by EMTs on scene, released and transported to their school on another bus.
Parents were contacted.
East Peoria Police Deputy Chief David Horn called it a “minor accident” and says the driver of the other vehicle made an improper turn onto Washington from Bess and hit the bus. The bus was heading east on Washington.
Horn says that driver is not facing any citations.
