The return of Winterfest - January 22

Winterfest
The Peoria German American Society’s annual Winterfest returns to the Lindenhof! The event pays homage to the early Germanic mead or feasting halls, where the community would gather to socialize.
There will be a German buffet featuring Bavarian Ham, Frickadellen (German Meatballs), Baked Chicken, Red Cabbage, Spaetzle, and more. Dessert will be available for an additional fee.
The buffet is free to kids under the age of 5. Kids between the ages of 6-10 cost $7 but can eat for free if they wear a costume from Disney’s “Frozen,” the TV shows “Vikings” and “Game of Thrones,” or something similar.
When: Sunday, January 21 from 12 - 8 pm (buffet from 12 - 6 pm)
Where: The Lindenhof of Peoria, 7601 N Harker Drive
Cost: $14 per person | $7 kids ages 6-10 (or free with costume) | Kids under 5 are free

Miller Park StoryWalk
Join Bloomington Public Library and the Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department for StoryWalk®. Read When The Snow is Deeper Than My Boots are Tall by Jean Reidy while enjoying a walk outdoors.

“Cadillac Crew”
Director Paula Graves brings “Cadillac Crew” to the Corn Stock Theatre. The show tells the stories of forgotten leaders who trailblazed desegregation and women’s rights.
When: January 22 & 29 at 2:30 pm
January 27 & 28 at 7:30 pm
Where: Corn Stock Theatre, 1606 N. Park Road in Peoria

“Five Women Wearing the Same Dress” Auditions
Like performing? Audition for Illinois Central College’s upcoming production of “Five Women Wearing the Same Dress,” directed by Eddie Urish.
Auditions will be held at the ICC Performing Arts Center in East Peoria this coming Tuesday and Wednesday. Auditioners are encouraged to prepare a 1-minute comedic monologue and come dressed to move. All are welcome to audition.
Rehearsals will be held from January 28 through March 28, and performances will be March 29 through April 2.
When: January 24 from 4 - 6 pm and January 25 from 6 - 8 pm
Where: ICC Performing Arts Center in East Peoria

STOMP
STOMP is an explosive and unique show for audiences of all ages. The award-winning percussion sensation uses everything but regular percussion instruments – like matchboxes and garbage cans – to put on the show.
Performer Sean Perham says, “It’s a musical. It’s a dance experience. It’s a comedy experience. It’s really all the things that you could want in a theater show at once.”
When: January 22 at 7 pm
