Peoria Police investigate Wednesday night armed business robbery

PEORIA (25 News Now) - Peoria Police are looking for a suspect they say robbed a business in Peoria Wednesday night.

A statement from Peoria Police says they were called to the 3900 block of Baring Trace, near the intersection of North Big Hollow Road, around 9:45 PM.

When officers arrived, they found a witness who told police someone entered the store wearing a mask and displaying a handgun. The suspect then fled before police arrived. No one was injured.

Police add a K-9 was brought in, along with members of the Peoria Police Department’s Crime Scene Unit to investigate and search for a suspect.

There is no suspect information at this time, and the incident remains under investigation.
