PEORIA (25 News Now) - After a cold and rainy last couple of days, we’ll begin to dry out later today and overnight. We’ll be dry but cold for the next couple of days before snow returns to our forecast this weekend.

Tonight and Tomorrow:

Cloudy skies will continue throughout the rest of the evening and overnight. Areas of drizzle as well as a few flurries may be possible, but don’t expect any widespread, steady precipitation like what we saw earlier today and yesterday.

Lows tomorrow morning will fall back into the mid to upper 20s. Wind chills may be as low as the upper teens.

Partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies are expected tomorrow, although we may see a few breaks of sun later in the day. Highs tomorrow will be in the low to mid 30s.

This Weekend:

Saturday will be another cloudy and cold day with highs in the mid 30s. Snow showers will be possible overnight and into Sunday morning.

Nuisance accumulations upward of 1-2″ may be possible. This could be enough to cause some slippery spots on the roads, so use extra caution if you’re traveling Saturday night or Sunday morning.

Upward of 1-2" of snow will be possible Saturday night into Sunday.

Next Week:

Seasonably cold weather will continue into next week with highs mostly in the 30s. We could dip into the 20s later in the week.

Another round of snow is possible by the middle of next week, but for now it’s too early to talk about specific timing and totals.
