Illini top Michigan State 75-66 for third-straight win

CHAMPAIGN (25 News Now) - The Fighting Illini earned its third-straight win Friday, knocking off Big Ten leader Michigan State 75-66. The Illini rallied from a 9 point deficit in the second half for the win.

The Illini were led by big man Dain Dainja who popped in 20 points and hauled in 7 rebounds. Matthew Mayer added 19 points and 6 blocks, and Terrence Shannon Jr., had 17 points.

After staring conference play 0-3, Illinois is now 3-3 in Big Ten play and 12-5 overall.
