BLOOMINGTON (25 News Now) - Bloomington-based insurer State Farm has selected India-based HCLTech to assume its day-to-day IT help desk and infrastructure services work.
Beginning this year, HCLTech will manage hardware, infrastructure software, and network connections support for State Farm, the insurer said.
State Farm says it did not make this decision lightly.
Both companies say employees at State Farm will be offered jobs at HCLTech in similar roles supporting State Farm.
“HCLTech was selected because of its reputation in supporting Fortune 500 companies,” said Ashley Pettit, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for State Farm. “Working successfully with them relies, in part, on the skills and knowledge of talented employees currently doing this work at State Farm.”
