CENTRAL ILLINOIS (25 News Now) - Several Central Illinois high school basketball teams took to the court Saturday for a full day of action. The Class 3A No. 3 Peoria Notre Dame girls welcomed Metamora to the kitchen. Metamora led by as many as 7 in the first half, thanks to 17 points from Katy Ramage, however, the Irish rallied behind 22 points from Mya Wardle. Peoria Notre Dame outscored Metamora 42-19 in the second half to win 62-42 and remain unbeaten.
Class 4A No. 4 Washington rolled to a 67-41 win over Eureka. Also Saturday in girls action, Class 4A No. 8 Normal Community defeats Pekin 52-27.
In boys action, Morton defeats Champaign Central 51-48, Pekin gets a win over Illini Central 59-46, and El Paso-Gridley defeats Delavan 57-45. Also Saturday, Class 2A No. 2 Prairie Central rolls to a 75-30 win over St. Anne. The Hawks were led by Tyler Curl, who had 21 points, Dylan Bazzell, who had 19 points, and Levi Goad, who had 15 points. In Heart of Illinois Conference action, Lexington gets an 82-77 road victory over Tremont.
Also Saturday, Peoria Notre Dame hosted its Irish Swimming Invite.
