(25 News Now) - On a great night of high school hoops, we got a great Heart of Illinois Conference matchup in girls basketball as Eureka held off Dee-Mack for a 52-49 win. Ellie Cahill scored 27 for the Hornets while Addi Swadinsky poured in a game-high 28 for Dee-Mack. Meanwhile, Metamora beat Prairie Central 55-42 behind 25 points from Katy Ramage. Chloe Sisco scored 20 for Prairie Central. Elsewhere, Richwoods topped Bloomington 51-24 in a Big 12 matchup. In boys hoops, Tremont beat IVC 84-49.
In wrestling, Normal U-High hosted the Manahan Duals against Olympia, Dee-Mack and Lincoln.
And it was an exciting day for IVC Grey Ghosts track and football standout David Russell. He signed his college letter to throw at Northern Iowa.
