PEORIA (25 News Now) - A Dense Fog Advisory has been issued for the western half of the viewing area, valid through 10 AM Wednesday morning. Reduced visibility and the potential for a few instances of freezing fog (slick spots) will serve as the primary hazards through this period. Once the fog lifts, a mostly cloudy day is on tap, with highs near 50°.

Thursday aims to start dry, before rain chances increase from the middle of the day onward. The rain chances will continue overnight and into Friday morning. Temperatures will be in the mid 40s both days and that is expected to be warm enough that all of the precipitation will fall as rain. The systems rain/snow line is projected to remain north of central Illinois, which is good news for travelers the next few days.
