Cloudy Tuesday with mild temperatures
PEORIA (25 News Now) - Clouds quickly overspread Central Illinois after a bit of morning sunshine on Monday. Gloomy conditions will continue for Tuesday with limited sunshine. Despite overcast conditions, temperatures will be mild, trending near or slightly above average.
Temperatures trend warmer this morning as a result of overcast conditions. At night clouds often act as a “blanket” and help keep temperatures warmer. We’re seeing that this morning, as temperatures trend 5-10 degrees warmer than Monday morning. Expect temperatures in the 30′s for the morning commute with patchy fog possible along and to the east of the Illinois River. Despite cloudy skies today, temperatures will be mild with highs returning to the mid to upper 40′s.
