Illinois State snaps 5-game losing streak, defeats Belmont 88-78

NORMAL (25 News Now) - Illinois State snapped its 5-game losing streak Sunday with lights-out shooting in a 88-78 win over Belmont. The Redbird made 54.5 percent of its shots, and 61.9 percent from long range. ISU is averaging 40.4 percent from the field and 31.9 percent from long range this season.

The Redbirds were led by junior forward Liam McChesney who had a career-high 25 points, making 9-of-12 shots from the field while being perfect from long range and the free throw line. Three other Redbirds were in double figures. Seneca Knight had 17 points, Luke Kasubke scored 13 points off the bench, and Kendall Lewis scored 11.
