25 Sports High School Saturday - December 3, 2022
CENTRAL ILLINOIS (25 News Now) - Saturday marked another busy day in high school basketball throughout Central Illinois. Metamora basketball hosted Chicago Lincoln Park for its home opener after an impressive showing last week at Washington’s Tournament of Champions. The Redbirds jumped out to a 16 point lead and defeat Chicago Lincoln Park 64-52.
Many Mid-Illini teams took to the court of conference games. Morton blowing past Canton 58-28 at the Potterdome, and East Peoria rolling past Limestone 81-43.
Also Saturday, Pekin defeats Champaign Central 40-38, Peoria Richwoods gets a 80-41 win over IVC, and Bloomington Central Catholic earns a 73-50 win over Peoria Christian.
In wrestling, Washington hosted six state powers for its annual super duels event.
