UPDATE 4:36 P.M. - The McLean County Coroner has identified a Bloomington woman as the victim of a fatal multi-vehicle crash at Rivian Motorway and College Avenue in Normal on Friday.

The preliminary autopsy opinion indicates Charlene C. Jones, 57, died of multiple blunt traumatic injuries due to automobile and semi-truck collisions, reportedly sustained as the driver and sole occupant of an automobile that collided with another automobile, then impacted a semi-truck.

Toxicology is pending.

The incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and coroner’s office.

UPDATE 12:49 P.M. - Normal Police say the intersection is reopened.

NORMAL (25 News Now) - The Illinois State Police confirm they are on scene of a three-vehicle fatal crash near Rivian.

An Illinois State Police Spokesperson says the crash happened at the Route 150 and West College Avenue intersection around 7:10 AM.

One of the vehicles involved, is a truck-tractor semi combination.

One southbound lane and all northbound lanes of Route 150 are closed, and will be for several hours.

In a post on Facebook, Normal Police say all traffic heading to the main Rivian entrance will need to enter from the north.

College Avenue at Rivian is shut down, and no traffic will be able to pass from the south.

No further information has been released.
