(25 News Now) - Hello everybody I’m Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins with your Corsaw Hardwood Lumber agri-business weather.

Well, it’s supposed to be fall but we’ve had a taste of winter so far. The big question is will that continue? Here’s my winter weather outlook for temperatures.

I think we’ll see below-normal temperatures with significant variability -- that means periods of very cold and periods of mild so up and down temperatures.

As far as precipitation all types of precipitation including rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow above normal with an active storm track near the region most of the winter.

As far as snowfall is concerned we average about 26.2 inches. I think we’ll be above that running 28-32 inches with 30 right down in the middle.

Weather wit, wisdom and wise cracks coming from Carl Reiner, producer actor-comedian extraordinaire, a lot of people like snow but I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.

Stay warm stay safe this winter I’m Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins.
