PEORIA (25 News Now) - 4 p.m. Update: Police have taken two people into custody, but 25 News has not yet learned their names.

Lieutenant Steven Koscielak with Normal Police said it appears the two people are involved in retail theft between Bloomington-Normal and Champaign.

They are facing charges of retail theft and resisting arrest.

This happened at the Target on Veterans Parkway in Normal at 2 p.m. Monday.

Normal and Bloomington Police responded.

3:30 p.m. Monday: Heavy police presence was seen at the Bloomington Target Monday afternoon.

Officer Brad Park with Normal Police said officers were called to Target on Veterans Parkway for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

One person ran from officers into the store and was taken into custody.

Officers are still on scene.
