Gas prices in Peoria fall almost 13 cents a gallon
PEORIA (25 News Now) - If you’ve needed to fill up your gas tank lately, you were probably happier with the total.
According to GasBuddy, the average cost of a gallon of gas in Peoria is $3.82/g, 12.8 cents per gallon less than the week before.
Compared to a month ago, prices in Peoria are 41.1 cents per gallon lower but are 30.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
The cheapest gas in Peoria is $3.49 per gallon, while the highest is around $4.09 per gallon.
The lowest price for gas statewide is currently $2.89 per gallon and the highest comes in at $5.87 a gallon.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy said in part, “...All the metrics look very positive for motorists as this week is likely to continue seeing falling gasoline prices, with many areas falling to the lowest level since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February. It’s entirely possible the national average price of gasoline could fall under $3 per gallon by Christmas, which would be a huge gift to unwrap for motorists after a dizzying year at the pump.”
GasBuddy reports the national average price of diesel has fallen to $5.20 per gallon in the last week.
