PEORIA (25 News Now) - Clouds continue to clear early this Friday morning after a cloudy Thanksgiving Day. Our holiday weekend’s forecast will remain mild the next few days before rain chances return Sunday morning.

Friday: Apart from a few clouds this morning, sunny skies will dominate our Friday’s forecast. Conditions will be cool for the Santa Parade in Downtown Peoria this morning, with temperatures running in the upper 30′s to lower 40′s. Daytime highs will be comfortable, reaching the 50′s this afternoon.

Weekend: Mild conditions will continue through Saturday’s forecast as clouds increase ahead of our next rain maker. Temperatures will be seasonably warm, trending in the mid to upper 50′s for daytime highs. Rain will move into Central Illinois late Saturday into Sunday morning. Steady rain is expected Saturday night into the first half of Sunday before the rain finally comes to an end. Cooler conditions will arrive with the rain. Daytime highs will drop into the mid to lower 40′s by Sunday afternoon.
