(25 News Now) - Washington’s Kevin Brown Memorial Tournament of Champions tipped off on Tuesday and it brought some great action on the first day. In the tourney opener, defending Class 3A state runner-up Metamora took down defending 1A state champion Yorkville Christian 87-41. Meanwhile, the host Panthers get a win against Chicago Lincoln Park 61-56. Also at the ToC, state powerhouse Moline falls to Wisconsin Lutheran 90-80.

Elsewhere on Monday, Morton beat Altamont 64-53 to open the season. At the Brimfield Tournament, the host Indians fall to Tremont 61-60. At the Peoria Heights Tournament, Peoria Christian topped Midland 56-35 and Cornerstone Christian beat the host Patriots 41-21.

At the Fulton County Tournament, Farmington beat Havana 71-46 and Lewistown took down South Fulton 50-21.

In girls hoops, Peoria High beat Dunlap 59-53 to claim the Limestone Tournament champion while Normal Community beat Bloomington 59-20 to lock up the Intercity Tournament title. In a Big 12 showdown, Peoria Notre Dame upended Richwoods 49-30.
