PEORIA (25 News Now) - You’ll want the winter coat out the door this morning, as temperatures have fallen into the upper 20s and low 30s overnight. There is good news on the way for the Monday forecast! Breezy southwest winds and mostly sunny skies will combine to warm temperatures into the upper 40s this afternoon. The near average highs will be much welcomed after the blast of cold that was observed over the weekend.

Further warming is on tap over the next few days, with above average highs near 50° Tuesday, and then into the mid 50s on Wednesday. All eyes are on the Thanksgiving travel forecast, which looks good for the most part. Cloudy skies and highs in the low 50s are forecast for Thursday. An incoming weather system will bring the chance for rain late Thursday, into early Friday morning. It looks like any impacts to travel from this weather maker would be low.
