One more cold, breezy day
PEORIA (25 News Now) - Wind chills will reach the lower single digits to even the subzero range this morning as our span of freezing conditions continue. We’ll see one more day of cold, breezy conditions before more mild weather returns.
Sunday: Temperatures have dropped into the lower teens this morning as a result of Saturday’s passing cold front. Several layers will be needed this morning as wind chill values near 0 are likely area-wide. Temperatures will slowly climb under sunny to mostly sunny skies, finally surpassing the freezing point in the afternoon. Daytime highs in the mid to upper 30′s are likely. Conditions will remain breezy, with gusts up to 25 miles per hour. This will continue to make it feel about 10 degrees colder outside when we factor in the wind chill.
The Week Ahead: Temperatures will gradually climb each day starting Monday. Daytime highs will return to the upper 40′s Monday followed by 50′s Tuesday and Wednesday. Much of Thanksgiving looks to remain dry, but a passing system will bring the potential for some showers later in the day.
