PEORIA (25 News Now) - Peoria Police say 2 juvenile males have been found shot in the 400 block of West Hanssler Place, near Quest Charter Middle School.

One of those juveniles is in critical condition, according to Peoria Police Chief Eric Echevarria.

This comes after three ShotSpotter alerts in the area - two for nine rounds and another for three rounds.

Echevarria says the ShotSpotter alerts came in at around 3:30 p.m. for the 500 block of West Gift.

No suspect information is available.

“Anytime there’s a shooting in our city I think it’s a danger to our community so I would say yes there’s always a danger when we don’t have the suspects in custody,” Echevarria said.

This is the same area where a stabbing took place in February. One boy died in that incident.

We have a crew on scene. This story will be updated.
