UPDATE (7:10 p.m.) - Two people in a van that collided with a First Student Unit 5 school bus on Pipeline Road southeast of Hudson were taken to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.

McLean County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nathan Haynes said the van’s two occupants, both adults, did not have life threatening injuries.

No students were on the school bus, said Unit 5 spokesperson Dayna Brown. Sgt. Haynes said the bus driver did not go to the hospital.

The sheriff’s office is still investigating the crash.

McLEAN COUNTY (25 News Now) - No students were on board a Unit 5 school bus during a collision with a van near a Nicor Gas facility in Hudson.

Lt. Jon Albee of the McLean County Sheriff’s Office says minor injuries are being reported, though it’s not clear who or how many have been injured.

The call came in about 2:50 p.m. to the area of 1700 East 2000 North, also called Pipeline Road.

Unit 5 confirms that bus is from the district, but says no students were on the bus.
