UPDATE: Shooting victim is juvenile male with life-threatening injuries
UPDATE (10:38 p.m.) - The victim of a shooting in Peoria’s East Bluff is a juvenile who suffered life-threatening injuries, the police department said in a news release.
Police said they were called about 8:20 p.m. after a pair of ShotSpotter alerts indicated two rounds had been fired in the 400 block of East Archer Street.
First responders said they were told the gunshot victim was in a car in the 2300 block of North Wisconsin. Earlier, investigators said they believed he was shot on North California Avenue and drove a couple of blocks east to the area where officers found him.
The victim is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police do not have suspect information.

UPDATE (9:45 p.m.) - A Peoria Police spokesperson said investigators believe the victim was shot on North California Avenue and drove a couple of blocks east to North Wisconsin Avenue where he was found.
UPDATE (9:25 p.m.) - Peoria Police said a male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries after a shooting Wednesday night.
Police said they were called just after 8:20 p.m. to 2300 block of North Wisconsin Avenue, near East Arcadia Avenue, where they found the victim in a car.
The age of the victim is not being released, and police say they have no information yet about any suspects.
UPDATE (9:03 p.m.) - Peoria Police confirm one person was shot Wednesday night on the city’s east side.
Police were called shortly before 8:30 p.m. and soon closed down two intersections: North Wisconsin and East Archer Avenues and East Archer and North Missouri Avenues.
PEORIA (25 News Now) - Authorities have blocked the intersection of North Wisconsin and East Archer Avenues and the intersection of Archer and North Missouri Avenues for a “police incident,” the city’s Emergency Communication’s Center said in an email sent to the news media Wednesday evening.
First responders were called to the area just before 8:30 p.m.
No other details were immediately available.
