Warming into the start of October
PEORIA (25 News Now) - It’s another frosty start across central Illinois. Frost Advisories remain in effect through 8 AM for communities north of the I-74 corridor. Temperatures will climb into the upper 60s today, signaling the start of a warming trend that will continue through the weekend. Skies will be mostly sunny this afternoon. Temperatures will not be as cool into Friday morning, with lows in the low to mid 40s across central Illinois. Because of this, patchy frost is not expected.
70s make a return for the end of September and the start of October. The average high for this time of the year is in the low 70s, which means a near average weekend is on tap. Low 70s combined with mostly sunny skies should allow for favorable Fall weather for any outdoor plans!
The extended forecast continues to trend fairly quiet, however there are some signals that we could see passing showers by the middle to end of next week.
