PEORIA (WEEK) - Two years ago, four young girls died in a tragic car accident. Today, one mother is raising money for an event to keep their memories alive.

Every year on Sept 27 Margaret Williams sets up a community event to remember her daughter 18-year-old Diamond Williams and her three friends called the 4 Angel’s event.

To help pay for the event, Williams set up shop on Lincoln and Western Friday afternoon to sell plates of soul food for $20 each. They had a large selection of homemade foods like macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, barbeque and much more. Cooking was one of the ways that Williams and her daughter bonded. Williams said keeping Diamonds memory alive with the 4 Angels event helps her cope with the loss.

“By me doing this and getting all the kids and stuff together–which she loved kids–it helps me a lot to adapt with my emotions and stuff that I do,” Williams said.

If you would like to donate to the 4 Angels event, you can send money on CashApp at $NieeceG to or call Williams at 309-404-7078
