PEORIA (25 News Now) - It’s a cool start to Wednesday, with temperatures in the mid 50s across central Illinois. Mostly sunny skies will warm temperatures into the mid 80s this afternoon. Most of the area will stay very dry, with just a few fair weather clouds developing this afternoon. Those living closer to the I-80/I-39 interchange may see a few brief sprinkles this afternoon, as the lake breeze from Lake Michigan moves inward.

Dry weather will continue over the next couple of days, with highs in the mid 80s through Friday. Humidity will climb into the start of the weekend, which will signal the potential for wet weather Saturday and Sunday. Plan ahead for likely impacts to outdoor plans this weekend.
