PEORIA (25 News Now) - The president of District 150′s School Board says a board member’s recent survey on the district’s proposed dress code was not officially approved by the Board.

Anni Reinking created the survey, claiming it is, “for students, teachers, and the larger community.”

It is in response to an updated dress code written by three PPS high school principals. Reinking believes the dress code “unfairly targets girls”, and wants to know if the public agrees.

Board president Martha Ross said it was posted without proper approval from the rest of the Board.

“The Board has not had input in it - the entire Board has not had input into the survey ... So if the survey is there, it is not Board-directed,” Ross said.

Ross added any surveys or other related items approved by the Board will be formally announced and posted to its official website.
