PEORIA (25 News Now) - Areas of patchy fog are possible early Wednesday morning, but any fog is expected to lift shortly after daybreak. Abundantly sunny skies will be overhead today, with comfortable levels of humidity in place. Afternoon highs will top out in the low to mid 80s. Get outside and enjoy this great August weather!

Most of Thursday will be dry, however a weak cold front will bring the chance for a few isolated showers Thursday afternoon. Any rainfall appears to be both light and very brief, so impacts to outdoor plans appear unlikely. Highs will once again climb into the the mid 80s Thursday afternoon.

A slightly cooler day is on tap Friday, with highs in the upper 70s behind the passage of the cold front. Temperatures will then rebound into the mid 80s this weekend, with dry time and sunshine expected.
