Woodford County man charged with criminal sexual abuse posts $50k cash bond
PEORIA (25 News Now) - The man facing a charge of aggravated criminal sexual abuse after allegedly engaging in sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl has posted bond.
Court records indicate Jose Emmett posted $50,000 total in bond Monday for two separate cases involving drug possession and aggravated criminal sexual abuse.
At the time of his arrest, Emmett was confirmed by Deer Creek Police Chief Bill Lally to have been an employee at Timberline Campground. The campground has not said whether or not he is still an employee.
According to the verified statement of arrest, the act allegedly took place on June 14 and June 26, 2022, at Emmett’s residence, the same address as Timberline Campground.
His next hearing is set for August 11 at 4 p.m.
