Dry to end the week, storms return this weekend
PEORIA (25 News Now) - Hot and sunny weather continues Thursday, with afternoon highs projected to climb into the upper 80s/low 90s. Humidity will remain at comfortable levels, so no heat index is expected. Grab the sunglasses and sunscreen!

More of the same is on tap for Friday, with highs once again expected to top out near 90°. The only real difference will be an increasing cloud trend through Friday afternoon and into Friday evening. Forecast looks good for any evening plans.
Active weather returns Saturday, with a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible. A few storms may be gusty, with damaging winds possible. However, it currently looks like the overall severe weather threat is low. Dry weather returns for the second half of the weekend.
