The dangerous heatwave will top weather headlines today, however we are also monitoring the potential for a few strong storms later this morning and into the early afternoon hours. The best chance for storms is for communities close to the I-80 corridor, where the Level 2 Risk is in place. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat.

A few strong thunderstorms are possible today. Most of the area aims to remain hot and dry.
