Wet weather returns midweek
PEORIA (WEEK) - Quiet and dry conditions will continue into the overnight Monday as lows drop into the upper 40s. Much of Tuesday will be dry and clouds will increase throughout the day ahead of a system that returns rain to the forecast. Highs Tuesday will be in the low 70s, then we’ll warm into the mid to upper 70s Wednesday as winds will be breezy from the southwest.

Rain showers and storms are likely overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, and we could see up to a half of an inch of rain by Wednesday afternoon. Scattered showers and isolated storms will linger into the second half of Wednesday and into Thursday as well. We look to dry out just in time for Memorial Day weekend and it’ll come with a warmup as highs climb into the 80s.
