Dry start to the week, followed by return of rain
PEORIA (WEEK) - Dry and cool weather continues Monday, with highs in the upper 60s. Mostly sunny skies will be over central Illinois, with light winds. Clouds will be on the increase throughout the day on Tuesday, with highs near 70°.

Active weather will return for the middle of the week, with rain and thunderstorms on our doorstep for the morning commute Wednesday. Multiple rounds of rain are possible throughout the day Wednesday and into Thursday. 1-1.5″ of rainfall will be possible by the end of the day Thursday.

A warming trend is expected into Memorial Day weekend, with above average high temperatures in the 80s set to return. Most of the extended weekend appears dry, however chances for scattered showers and storms may eventually increase given the heat and humidity.
