Arson in Peoria: Crews respond to house fire on Haungs Ave. Thursday morning

PEORIA (WEEK) - An early Thursday morning fire is believed to be the result of arson in the River City.
Emergency crews responded to a call in the 500 block of Haungs Ave. around 12:57 a.m.
Upon arrival, Peoria Fire and Rescue found smoke and fire in the front room of the resident. According to a press release, crews had the fire under control by 1:10 a.m.
No one was reportedly home wat the time of the incident; and, it is unknown whether the home was occupied or vacant.
Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be arson. Estimated damages stand at $50K.
