That was the instant reaction from Normal West Ag teacher Patrick Bane when we stopped by his classroom.

Mr. Bane teaches a number of courses at various grade levels, his passion for agricscince on display.
“Here at Normal West we have a tremendous animal science pathway, so this class is actually dual credit with Heartland Community College, they’re getting four of college credit.”

“We have a lot of leadership programs here that we’re doing with FFA.”
Adding the grant money will be a big helpas programs continue to expand.
“That’s why we do what we do to make an impact on the community,” “We’ve got $750 worth of registration sitting there for a conference coming up, we’ll fine ways to put the money to use.”
