Illinois State University to go mask-recommended for most settings

NORMAL (25 NEWS) - Illinois State University is going mask-recommended beginning March 21.

This means face coverings will be recommended, but not required within all university facilities, except for:

Clinical settings, including Student Health Services, Student Counseling Services, COVID-19 testing sites, and other sites listed on the Coronavirus website under Face Coverings.
University events when required by contract with speakers, performers, etc.
Public transportation (including Connect Transit buses) and in other federally mandated sites

The university also asks that as a courtesy, masks be worn in a private office or residence hall room as requested by the occupant or in a classroom if requested by the instructor.
