WASHINGTON (25 NEWS) - Masks are now optional as Washington Community High School is at the “minimal” mitigation level for COVID-19.
According to the 2021-2022 return to school plan revised and approved Friday, February 11, face coverings are optional but strongly recommended in the minimal level.
Should the mitigation level move up to moderate, face coverings would be required for all students and staff at all times except for specific circumstances such as lunch or outdoor classes.
The Board of Education says all decisions to move between mitigation levels will be made in conjunction with the Tazewell County Health Department.
