Former East Peoria 309 transportation director facing sex crime charges
EAST PEORIA (25 NEWS) - A man who was most recently the transportation director for East Peoria Community High School is in jail and facing numerous sex crime charges.
District superintendent Marjorie Greuter confirmed to 25 News that Shawn Dasgupta, 40, was the district’s most previous transportation director.
Dasgupta was arrested December 15 and is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to the Tazewell County Jail.
He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday, January 13, at 2:30 p.m.
He must post $12,500 to leave the jail.
According to the agenda for the district’s December 20 board meeting, Mary Falco was slated to be appointed the interim transportation director. Her email address is listed in the department on the district’s staff directory.
