Massive fire takes over two Farmington businesses, bringing in several fire agencies
Two businesses are a total loss after a Monday night fire tears through the structure.
FARMINGTON (WEEK) - Two businesses are a total loss after a Monday night fire tears through the structure. An official with Fulton County tells us it started in the bar area of Whiskey Dixie on the corner of 116 and North Cone street.
There are no injuries reported as of 10:45pm Monday night, and no one is displaced. There is no residential space in this structure.
Several fire departments are called into help from Fulton, Peoria and Knox counties. Tanker operations were needed to assist.
Ameren is on scene and power has been shut off for at least two blocks surrounding the businesses.
Parkside Restaurant and Whiskey Dixies are considered destroyed.
People on scene tell 25 News that Whiskey Dixies just got new owners planning for a grand opening on Wednesday.
