PEORIA (25 News) - The first COVID-19 Vaccine clinic to be held in Peoria’s South Side will happen on Thursday, November 18th from 10 AM to 2 PM. It will be hosted at Helping Hand Resource Center/Central Illinois Awning at 2706 Southwest Washington Street and will be open for all ages.

Ronald Valle, the Helping Hand Resource Center director, says this is important for the South Side community.

“This is gonna be the first actual clinic that’s set up on a temporary basis for individuals or families to come down in provide vaccination for them. Normally if you were to go get vaccinated, you’d have to go to all so far go to another area that’s pretty distant from this location.” Said Valle.

The Illinois Department of Public Health will be administering the vaccines which will be the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

Helping Hand Resource Center/Central Illinois Awning will host a second clinic on December 2nd for those who need the second dose.
