PEORIA (25 NEWS) - The work week picks up where the weekend left off, with cloudy skies and chilly temperatures. A light wintry mix is possible this morning and into the early afternoon, however little to no accumulation is expected. Afternoon highs will range from the upper 30s north of I-74, to the upper 40s south and west of I-74.

A warm front will lift through central Illinois Tuesday, resulting in the return of 60s for afternoon high temperatures. Enjoy the warmer air and sunshine Tuesday, because rain is likely for Wednesday. Once the rain ends, cooler air will return to the region. Plan for highs in the low 40s, along with sub-freezing lows by the end of the week.
